It’s still really warm and sunny this week, although the weather is forecast to change this weekend, so Upton Country Park seemed a good choice today. I also wanted to take a quick walk around the top of Holes Bay as an osprey had been spotted there yesterday morning.
So here’s Max in his favourite muddy patch at the pond again.
The heron was back on it’s perch opposite.
And the ducks were out and about.
Further on there were hints of autumn. Firstly a leaf…
… and then this huge fungus (sorry it’s a bit blurry – there wasn’t a lot of light and I don’t like using a flash for shots of fungi).
Along the shoreline there were lots of birds on Upton Lake.
And at the top of Holes Bay there was a Springer who desperately wanted me to let him go for a swim.
But sadly there was no sign of an osprey.
Tise last shot for today was taken as we headed back for the Country Park, looking at Pergins Island with the Country Park in the background.
