Another wet walk

Friday 8th November 2013

It’s been raining hard overnight, and is still raining quite hard this morning. I didn’t even attempt to move Jez off the bed, but instead took Max to Broadstone Recreation Ground. There were two reasons for this. Firstly, there is quite a bit of tree cover there; and, secondly, Max’s skin allergies were playing up last night, so I thought Broadstone Rec. would be a fairly ‘safe’ walk for him.

You can get a good idea of the weather from this photo (apologies for the timing of it).

A wet morning at Broadstone Rec.

Although we are now well into autumn, it is nice to see that there are still some shrubs in bloom. I thought these little flowers were really pretty.

Flowers are still blooming

And my patience waiting for that acer to turn has finally paid off. It is just magnificent at the moment.

There’s one thing: with all this rain I’m hoping for less fireworks tonight.
