A trip to the Sika Trail in Wareham Forest

Wednesday 29th January 2014

As it wasn’t raining, and as Jez decided she would come for a walk too, I thought we would go out to the Sika Trail in Wareham Forest again today. Max thinks its great out there – there is so much water. And Jez loves the smells: which means she spends ages sniffing so our walk can take rather a long time.

The treat for me today when we got there, though, was meeting a 12 week old Deerhound puppy. She was gorgeous – all legs and feet!

She’s going to be a big girl when she grows up.

The rest of the photos from today are basically Max and water. Although this first one is more Max-and-a-boggy-bit.

Max finds another boggy bit

Someone on Flickr challenged me to get water-level shots of him, so here is my attempt today – Max in the Dragonfly Pool. Notice the spray of water from his wagging tail.

At the Gruffalo Pool he wasn’t sure he wanted to go in – it got a bit deep after that last step.

Max isn't too sure about taking the leap into deeper water

He’s still thinking about it – while something catches Jez’s attention.

Eventually he went in round the other side of the pond, so I took a bit of video of him swimming around for you.

It was a nice walk, although a little bit chilly. But at least it didn’t rain!
