Jez decided she didn’t want to come for a walk this morning, so I took the opportunity to take Max down to the beach and lake at Ham Common. It was one of those mornings when the weather didn’t know what to do. There were dark storm clouds around, but the sun was shining and I was hot in my waterproof coat. This was the scene down on the beach when we arrived.
Further on, the clouds behind Rockley Park caravan site were really dark.
On the other hand, there was a lovely, peaceful scene looking across Poole Harbour.
I was thinking that we were going to be really lucky to finish our walk without getting rained on, and I was right. But it wasn’t heavy and only lasted a few minutes. Just after we arrived at the lake for Max’s swim it stopped.
Max was a happy boy swimming out into the lake for his cones.
And he took the opportunity to share his Ursula Andress impression from Dr No.
After his swim we headed back to the beach where he ran through the sea after his cone. Then it was home via Nurturing by Nature (a raw dog food supplier) to pick up some bones for Max and Jez as a treat.
