Back to the Sika Trail in Wareham Forest

Sunday 18th January 2015

It was a lovely sunny afternoon so I chose to go to the Sika Trail in Wareham Forest for our walk. It seems like I never learn. At this time of year it may be sunny elsewhere but nearly all of the Sika Trail is in shade. So as the air temperature was about 3-4C and there was a breeze blowing across Decoy Heath it was pretty chilly. Still, there were quite a lot of people out walking.

Lots of walkers on the Sika Trail today

I did find one spot of sunshine to take this photo of Max.

Although I have to say, I prefer this photo of him.

Max shows us his bedroom eyes

And here is Jez, brining up the rear as usual these days.

And lastly for today, a view across the end of Decoy Heath.

I was glad to get back to the car and to the warmth. Then it was home for a nice hot cup of chocolate and a warm bath.

A year ago today

We went to Upton Heath where I took this photo of a clump of burnt silver birch trees against a stormy sky.
