Time for a swim on Canford Heath

Tuesday 27th January 2015

That’s Max I’m talking about, not me, you understand. It wasn’t a particularly nice day – grey and chilly, although once I started walking I soon warmed up. We walked to Hotchkiss Cross and up Longfleet Drive where someone has re-built the little bivouac that the children love so much. There was one a bit further into the trees last summer, and then a little while ago some anti-social person destroyed it. So here is the new one.

Someone has rebuild the bivouac along Longfleet Drive

And here’s Max standing guard at the entrance, ready to repel all intruders.

As I said, I let Max have a swim, and here he in in the pond.

It made him a very happy dog.

On our way back to the car we met a new dog: a 7 year old Malamut. Her new owner said she was an ex-breeding bitch from central London who was loving the heath and the beach.

Meet Foxy

Her name is Foxy, and she was such a cutie.

She's certainly a Foxy lady

Hopefully we’ll bump into her again one day.

A year ago today

We went for a walk on Upton Heath, taking in the lake area, where a lot of trees had been cleared.
