In which we meet the cows

Saturday 23rd January 2016

No photos from yesterday again. I had to go over to my Dad’s in the morning as he’d had a radiator leak all over his living room carpet and I took my carpet cleaner over to help clean it up.

So onto today and being Saturday we had our walk in the afternoon on Upton Heath, where we met the cows. We very nearly missed the first one, who was doing his best to hide in the gorse.

When we got up onto the old railway line, though, we found they were spread out along the path.

Cows on the path!

When I got level with this one he stopped eating to look round at me, and to keep a wary eye on the dogs.

But he needn’t have worried. They both walked on past, although Jez had to work up the courage to pass the next one along.

After that we went round to pond for a quick game of cone and then walked on round the lower heath and back along the Roman Road to the car.

It was a cold, frosty morning, and Max and I went over to Upton Heath.
