Saturday 5th November 2016
That’s because 5th November is bonfire night over here and Jez doesn’t like fireworks. Normally they seem to be spread over several weeks, but as the 5th fell on a Saturday this year most people seemed to have their fireworks tonight.
So to tire Jez out a bit before all the whizz bangs began I took her and Max over Upton Heath. It was a nice sunny afternoon for our walk. Here are the dogs in the pond.
Today we walked around the lower heath. This was the path through the silver birch grove.
And lastly for today, heading back to the Roman Road in the late afternoon sun.
Jez is walking well at the moment so rather than phone Chris to come and pick us up I walked the dogs home via Creekmoor Ponds. Which was all going fine until some nasty little dog decided to have a go at Jez as we were approaching home. Needless to say she was having none of that and soon put it in its place!
As for the evening, well I dosed her up on Xanax and we tried to keep her as calm as possible. But from 6.15pm to 8.15pm it was like World War 3 around here and Jez spent all her time racing around the house barking, which is not good for her poorly heart. Max meanwhile was oblivious to all the mayhem and wasn’t even bothered when Chris took him out for a walk in the thick of it. How can my two dogs be so different?
There are no photos from a year ago today.
