We don’t seem to be able to shake this breeze, which can be quite chilly at times. It was supposed to rain heavily today, but we only had the odd shower and by the afternoon the threat of rain seemed to have disappeared. Dad’s physio came early in the morning, so that left us the afternoon free. We drove out to the farm shop at Bashley, in the New Forest, but, of course, they didn’t have what we wanted. On the way back we stopped at the Motorcycle Museum, not to visit the museum itself, but to have a cup of tea in the cafe and look at the animals they keep there. Jez had to stay in the car while we were in the cafe (it was a bit too chilly to sit outside), but afterwards I took her to meet the animals. First up was a couple of goats and a turkey.
The turkey was a rather fine fellow.
They have alpacas there too.
Jez was keen to make their acquaintance.
This one looks very haughty.
Whilst this one looks more like a cuddly teddy bear.
Near the entrance there were quite a few donkeys. Dad loves donkeys, and as it was a bit too far for him to walk at the moment I drove down there and pulled off the road so that he could get out and say hello to them.
Back at the flat, and Jez shows us what she thinks of the ‘No Dog Walking’ sign outside of the block of flats.
As you can see, we don’t take a lot of notice of it.
A year ago today
We went down to the beach at Hamworthy. Looks like it was a beautiful day.
